Restoring Daniel Maclise
In early 2018 the curator’s office of the UK Parliament began the restoration of two huge wall paintings – 12ft x 46ft – by renowned Irish artist Daniel Maclise (1806 –1870).
Situated in the Royal Gallery, The Meeting of Wellington and Blücher after the Battle of Waterloo and The Death of Nelson are considered amongst his masterworks.
The first in a series of four films by WakeWood captures this restoration effort.
Commissioned by the Parliamentary Curator’s Office.
