Rupert Barclay is an award-winning shooting and editing producer/director. He started in broadcast television over 20 years ago and presented his first self- produced documentary film in 2014, winning the Best New Director award at the London Greek Film Festival.
His clients and broadcast credits include ITV, Channel 4, National Geographic and Discovery Channel as well as collaborations with Sony Classical, ABC’s Young Performer of the Year, Time Team and History Hit.
He has worked extensively with the charity Waterloo Uncovered to tell the story, over ten years, of their revelatory excavations of the battlefield of Waterloo and their work to support injured veteran and serving military personnel with their recovery and rehabilitation through involvement with archaeology, which has amassed hundreds of thousands of views of YouTube.
As a new addition to Wakewood Productions, Rupert brings with him a strong background in music which he applies in the edit, as well as experience as a professional archaeologist. His most recent work with Wakewood includes films for Parliament about the 2019 Election Artist Nicky Hirst and informational films for a leading Commercial Barristers chambers in London.
Rupert is also a registered drone operator and has experience of filming with drones including in the City of London and the EU.
